The Mountain stories are a loosely connected series, and while they are slightly richer if read in order, they are meant to stand alone. All four of these men are friends (eventually) and they do wander in and out of each others’ stories.
The Kurt and Jake stories
Fire On the Mountain (novel) — they meet (second edition to be announced soon)
Snow on the Mountain (novel) — their story continues into winter and they meet Mark
Mistletoe on the Mountain (short) — their first Christmas
8 Seconds on the Mountain (short) — about a year after Fire
The Mark and Allan stories
Fall Down the Mountain (novel) — Mark and Allan meet
Cross the Mountain (short) — an adventure about a month later
Storm on the Mountain (short) — their first Valentine’s day
Gary, whose story is Return to the Mountain, knows Mark and Allan. He comes back to Wapiti Creek after they’ve become a couple.
