Rainbow Snippet–After the snowboarding

otter snow Hope all of you who are affected by the storm are staying warm and safe. It’s the weekend, so the snippetteers (find them all here on this Facebook group) have some reading material for you.

In Colorado, when we have snow, we slide on it, so this week’s six sentences (roughly, sometimes I can’t count) is from Tail Slide.  Lon and Corey have come down off the mountain where they’ve been snowboarding. There’s something Corey doesn’t know yet…

TailSlide-Singer2“There’s an otter in my bathroom and my boyfriend is nowhere to be seen,” Corey mumbled.

That was silly, Lon was right here! He came to snuffle Corey’s fingers, dangling at a good height for sniffing. He whiskered Corey’s hand, which smelled of yummy things, and felt Corey tense through his vibrissae. Could learn so much stuff with vibrissae! He whiskered again and pushed his head into Corey’s palm.

“Therefore, my boyfriend is an otter.”

Now, don’t think Corey’s over his disbelief: he’s pretty gobsmacked. Read the rest in Tail Slide, which you can get as a standalone or in a set  with Lon and Corey’s next story, Otter Chaos.

Fresh powder snow and running water in the Colorado back country call Lon like the moon calls the wolves. Belly-sliding to a good time on the weekends makes up for a workweek at a desk, and meeting Corey adds a whole new level of fun to snowboarding.

It’s easy to slip away for time alone in the the woods without raising suspicion, but how’s Lon to entertain himself when bad snow and a worse spill force them off the mountain too early?

Never give an otter a box of Cheerios.

Um, also giddy and hyperventilating and totally dependent on spellcheck if I can remember to run it because I can’t type while I’m hyperventilating.

Also hyperventilating for Kayla Jameth and Kate Pavelle, who are dear friends as well as amazing authors, and for LC Chase whose writing rocks, and for… Just OMG. There are some fantastic books here from some amazing authors. USA today rec 2015

Go see the whole list online, because Becky Condit has exquisite taste in M/M romances!

Otter Chaos Look what the printer sent! All purty, with little pawprints here and there, to go with Mr. Plotting Otter. Every one of these copies is spoken for, with the giveaways won and the presentation copies I’ve promised.

I do love Dar ALbert’s artwork. She completely captured Lon’s goodhearted mischief and Corey’s concern.

Since Amazon decided to put these on sale for three dollars off the regular price, this might be a very good time to grab one of your own.
